YAZZBAR reviews
5 Star Review by Georgi Chan
Outstanding lamb puffs (sorry it had a cool Spanish name which escapes me now), salted cod croquettes and pizzas. Chef Simon and his muso brother Lou are true gems. Thank you for a really lovely and memorable evening!

We visited as the reviews looked good. I love tappas. The staff were nice enough and wine was good. Spicy meatballs were good. Meat and cheese platter was just ok. Zucchini fritters were horrible, being way overcooked. Not in a rush to come back.

Fabulous night in Yass at the Yazzbar listening to a great Canberra band - 'Crossbenchers'. They played a wide variety of well known songs plus some of their own. We enjoyed pizzas and wine. Great venue full of character.

What a great little venue!! Awesome interior, fantastic outside area at the back. A top shelf wine selection and really good quality meals.

It's a cute bar with a lovely ambience. The food is great. I enjoy eating tapas style. I just wish it had table service to match the restaurant vibe of the place. I think it would do well to be both bar/restaurant. Would also be nice if the staff were a bit more involved, knew about wines to recommend and check in on us during the meal. There was one guy there who was great though.

The food and wine was great. We had to chase our food order up as we waited for a hour

Positives: Dog-friendly (water bowl provided) and nice decor with greenery, food Negatives: Waiting time for food, service, errors 4 of us (and a dog) drove from Mel to Syd. Seating at the bar was predominantly reserved due to it being Christmas Eve however we did get a seat, though it was in direct sunlight. Person that took our order was not attentive and seemed quite abrupt. Ordered 3 lemon lime bitters, chicken tenders, pulled pork sliders and 3 pizzas. Lemon lime bitters were delivered to the table next to us and somebody took a sip from one of the glasses. When the waitress realised, she did not check whether anybody had taken a sip and moved the 3 glasses to our table. When we pointed out that somebody had taken a sip from one of the glasses, she got us another one. Chicken tenders came out and when the waitress was putting them on the table, one of them fell on the floor. Our dog quickly ate it, and though the waitress apologized, she did not replace the chicken tender. Pizzas took almost 35 to 40 minutes to come out. They were quite good but a $25 price tag seems steep.

Great little bar and eatery with tons of character. Well worth a stop if you're coming through or staying. Pizzas are good but thick crust style and very filling. Zucchini fritters were very good. There was Pub Caroling going on when we were there as it was almost Christmas. Live music as well.
