Amazing service and great food! The Cook in the Bistro, Vicki is always friendly, entertaining and makes an excellent meal. Had the best snitty tonight at a great price. Will be back for sure :)

I was so grateful that the lovely man behind the bar found a room for us when our other booking fell through. I was reassured by our host's highviz jacket with " covid safe official" emblazoned on the back. He pulled a good beer and equally good vodka which gave us some good Dutch courage to get up the slightly spooky stairs The room was not the 5 star plush you softies expect from city hotels but was comfortable and clean. There were no bed bugs at all and the modular ensuite was a salute to 1972 , with all the fun bits. We didn't eat a meal here. We were a bit putoff by " Chken Parma "complete with concerning photos, but from the looks of patrons eating there it looked like eating at the Great Eastern had done them little haerm except increasing their CVD risk calculation I loved this place. This place MADE my trip to Young. I'm only sorry I didn't buy a souvenir hand bag from the delightful selection above the door in the bar 5 bug stars for the experience. Love this place

My meal was inedible. Pork crackling was cold and resembled a fossil or dried dog treat. Vegetables were over cooked and had obviously been reheated. I ate one slither of carrot and then decided not to risk getting sick. Need drastic improvement.
