I highly recommend having lunch or dinner at The Olive Bistro. They have a great selection of hearty meals. The portions are very generous and reasonably priced. Comfy seating and pretty decor. The staff are friendly too.

Bistro is over priced for its average quality. $29 for a small rump steak with french fries, no salad included. Steak was tough and the red wine jus was watered down. Very average food and very over priced.

Bistro is over priced big time! Steak was not cooked to order. Staff were great. Thank you to Michael who pretty much manned the bar himself. The duty manager with white hair seemed to walk around shouting at the staff and doing not much else. Jump behind the bar and serve!!!

Monday & Tuesday night is happy hour, but the olive bistro is closed. Guess its ok if you like a sausage roll or pie for $8 Sandwich tomato & cheese $9.00 Very disappointed bring back the old club Waste of time coming.

Food unaffordable. No lunch specials. Expensive menu when people in inner west just want simple fresh meals or sandwiches at good prices. I remember the old club's food. It was delicious, well priced and popular. Why change it?? Layout and atmosphere not appealing. More for a conference than to relax.

Bland boring expensive and food is poor. You are paying upmarket pub prices for RSL food. Looks nice but I wouldn't go there for any reason really.

Had Xmas lunch there, dreadful, one selection of meat ham only cranberry sauce raw brocaly, and patatoes, service was good though, been going to the old club for Xmas lunch for years, no sports bar in the new one either, should not have pulled the old one down, it was much much better, Michael

NOW :- Went in to have a quick look. I was told my membership had now run out and would "have to" fill out a new form. It seems a beaurocracracy has taken over. Attitude at reception not good, a take it or leave it attitude. Prices on meals gone way up like too many places. I thought this was an RSL Club NOT a Sailing Club ! Can't see any lake or open water from here ! Lay out of club poor compared to old club. Smiles on staff, just like the number of patrons - RARE !!! Word must gave got around ! I won't be hurrying back here any time soon despite having just paid for 5 years membership. Very disappointed with the new club overall just from this 1 visit. Another club nearby did this type of transition some years ago and it took them a while to start to wake up. Unfortunately I think the same situation has occurred here ! 6Months ago:- Great club just no Bistro for some months now ! Just as well it's not a business with shareholders there would be a spill of the board and management !
