3 Star Review by Ernie Millen

The room was neat and the bed comfortable right next to the pool area (no good in June) and a view to the Clyde? river. Free soft drinks and bottled water on arrival however we couldn't get the air-conditioning heater going. In the small bathroom, the shower recess was quite small and the toilet cubical cramped. The staff were very good and friendly from the greeting at nearly 7 pm to quickly bringing a portable electric fan heater and getting the A/C working at about 40%. We had dinner in their bistro where the staff and service were good but the food was mediocre at best but charged restaurant prices. My wife and I both lost our appetites and got take away trays but the food was eventually fed to the dog at home. They only serve breakfast on weekends and we were there on a Tuesday. We probably wouldn't have had breakfast in their bistro anyway after that dinner but we found a reasonably good breakfast Cafe next-door. In a nutshell, it was a good bed overnight at short notice on an unplanned trip. It may have been a better experience in peak season summer, who knows.

A fantastic place to stay. Travelling with family for a swimming competition. Beds were very comfy, tea and coffee available, bar fridge, TV, air-conditioning and balcony overlooking the water. Gorgeous! Went downstairs to the bar for drinks and snacks and then a short walk to a restaurant for dinner. An excellent experience and we've booked in again. Definitely stay here!

Excellent service from Chrissy at the front desk! We arrived on the eve of Labour Day, 3 people with 3 bikes and she kindly and efficiently accommodated a safe place for us to park our bikes. Even arranged for our early check out and got up early to accommodate us leaving. The room was clean & comfortable. The location was also perfect for us, so close to restaurants, waterfront and the main bus stop. Highly recommended and please give Chrissy a raise!

Not impressed. Bathroom is small, no exhaust fan, blocked basin, leaking shower (doors dont open or close properly). Lack of hot water in shower. Smoke detector covered up. No toaster wine glasses or microwave. Pool was padlocked shut even though filter was going. Sliding door to outside doesnt open fully gets stuck. Blanket was old and dirty which made us wonder about the linen. Booked for 2 nights only stayed for 1 night so not happy with the room. Felt like pests not guests when we complained.

Have to give 1 star other wise I will give no star.Really bad service, highly priced rooms ,wifi not available, if you ask reception they will say just hang around in the room and you will find the right spot fwhere wifi will be connected. No room service available, you have to collect all your bathroom needs from reception. It's just waste of money. Will never come back and suggest to look some other place

Where do I start stayed one night here and was disgusted, there was hair stuck on the shower wall upon entry, then found I couldnt run the a/c any lower then 22c because the pipes freeze up and drips into room so I ran it on 24c and it still dripped into the room, then upon entering the bathroom at one point I was confronted by a huge cockroach on the floor, I told reception all this upon leaving and they had nothing but excuses and blamed the cockroaches on because we live next to the coast now I also live next to the coast I understand there are cockroaches about, but the property should be pest controlled at the least especially when I paid $489 DOLLARS for the one night absolutely do not recommend, appalling, totally disgusting for that price
