A wonderful older style hotel with plenty of character and very little of the electronic distractions prevalent in gaming houses. Very pleasant and helpful staff, great meals with specials Monday to Thursday, and two happy hours, morning and afternoon. A stones throw from the train at Concord West, so arrange to meet your friends and enjoy great hospitality. Or just break your journey with a satisfying refreshment in the peace and quiet of yesterday's Sydney.

Came as a get together with our friends. Travelled a great distance for the meetup. First we didn't receive our meal and we had being forgotten. Then they forgot my son's ice cream and when we asked for it we were told No as they were too busy for that. (Even though we had paid for it.) We left not impressed.

Best kept secret around here!! Staff are very friendly and food is very reasonable (mains are about $25) + lots of complimentary condiments etc The only negative is that there are no views . Not their fault but a beer garden etc would be awesome

I've always loved this pub but was really disappointed in the meal. All the meals were mixed up with another order, the steak was warm and the vegetables were cold. Really disappointing for a Wednesday lunch. Great pub unfortunately food was ordinary.

Worst experience. All staff were extremely disrespectful and rude towards the group I was with. We all got food and bought drinks, giving the business money but we were treated with complete disrespect and were continually all night looked at for no reason. There are much better pubs in the area, I would highly recommend not coming here
