4 Star Review by MissNessaMaree
The hotel was lovely, about what you would expect from a high end hotel. The rooms were clean, well equipped and accessible, the view was awesome, the elevators were quick. The pillows left a bit to be desired but as to be expected from anything that isn't home. The hotel was in a great spot for accessing Oxford St and party central, but quietly outside the noise and chaos. Lots of good food options around, fairly easy walk to the city center. Parking was clear and easy to access - really tiny spots though was a bit of a time getting in/out of the car. Overall great experience and would stay again.

Beautiful room and bathtub. Good desk area. Good service. Good quality shower gel, shampoo and lotion. Average buffet breakfast considering the price is AUD 35 but not much variety of food. Room is not well soundproof. I can hear people talking in the corridor and upstairs. I can hear if next door's TV is on. Light switch is in the entrance.

Very clean and spacious rooms and even had a large bath. The staff were very friendly and for the most part, the service was quick. It would have been nice to have some more power points and/or USB charging in the room. The breakfast in the morning was a standard buffet and all the food was fresh and hot. My only complaint with the dining was that, at times, it missed the balance between excellent service and keeping the line moving. Overall it was exactly what you would expect given the star rating, the location was close enough to CBD for most things and I would definitely recommend this hotel

My daughter and I spent our weekend at the Pullman Hyde Park Corner in Sydney. We had the most beautiful experience. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The location was just perfect. It was the center point to Circular Quay and Darling Harbor. And the mall was just a 7 min walk away. Besides that, the park was right in front of the hotel. However having said all of the above, what made our stay so memorable the courtesy and friendliness that the staff showed us. From the person who checked us in to the person who checked us out; the people at the breakfast buffet who so kindly catered to our specific culinary requirements. Exceptional! If we go to Sydney, Pullman will be our first choice.

A fantastic location. Friendly staff. Beds were so comfy, the room was clean and bathroom was fresh too. Pillows - amazing! Room service was great. No issue extending parking to browse the CBD. Convenience store close by.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the service, location and accommodation quality absolutely fantastic. Peter at reception was very helpful and gave amazing service and the whole team were very professional. Accommodation facilities were of a good standard and we would happily book there again.

Lets start off by saying I will never stay at Pullmans Sydney Hyde Park again! From the moment I walked in, awaiting service by reception the experience was downhill. I waited almost 20 minutes to check-in due to an influx of travellers holidaying, this I didnt mind given I was traveling late December, so expected delays. However, a male traveller pushed in front of me to be served first with the male receptionist happily serving him knowing I had been waiting an extended period. As a female visitor, I found this sexist and highly rude. By the time I was served Id been waiting 35 minutes and the receptionist was extremely slow, keeping me standing waiting whilst he spoke to other staff. Im happy to report that the rest of the staff at Pullmans were lovely, and very accommodating. Let me just say that a bad reception experience isnt enough for me to warrant never returning to a hotel, so here lies the problem. I entered the room to discover Id been placed in a disability access room without being informed!! When booking my stay nobody told me this was where they were placing me, nor did the ridiculously slow rude receptionist inform me either! The bathroom experience was a disaster! There was a roll in shower, the kind with no base, so water pools and spreads rapidly all over the entire bathroom floor. A wall mounted shower seat that caused even more water to spray out across the tiles. Grab bars in the shower and toilet that got in the road! There was absolutely no space in the bathroom to put clothes or items, so initially I placed the clothes Id taken off on the ground towards the door not knowing what I was in for. Needless to say, this being my only option, was a horrible experience. The water spread from the shower all the way over to the bathroom door. My clothes were drenched and I had nowhere to hang them to dry, so had to deal with 4 days of wet clothes sitting in my room smelling. The floor was covered in water and Id been given the tiniest bath mat of which was also drenched unable to soak up any water. As the floor was covered from one end to the other and wouldnt dry given the aircon temperature, I slipped on water numerous times almost injuring myself. It was an absolutely awful experience! To add to this, the couch had what looked like large white dried marks on it from people having sex! It was putrid. Couldnt even tell you the last time they probably cleaned the thing. It was so bad that I didnt want to risk sitting on there in case I caught an STI YUK!!! Also, I had a lovely view of Hyde Park, however the windows were so dirty it was difficult to enjoy the view. Just a cloudy outlook available. A friend came to visit and also commented on how the hotel needs to clean their windows and the bathroom water situation was a serious accident waiting to happen. My second morning I passed a fellow traveller in the lift saying they had just been down for the hotel breakfast which they claimed was cold and not worth the money! Since my stay, I have located far better hotels in around Hyde Park for my next visit. As an abled bodied person, I should not have been disadvantaged in the way I was, nor needed to deal with OHS issues within the room. My safety was at risk with all the water and should have been offered another room or told when booking so I could find somewhere else to stay. I would never stay or recommend Pullman Sydney Hyde Park ever!
