Hampton Half-Way House Hotel reviews

We booked a stay here because we wanted a break. Im going to be as impartial in this review as possible. So when you get here, youre going to have to work out where reception is, and its at the pub. Youll sign in and grab your keys here if youre staying a night or two. The staff there were helpful. Parking is a bit of a hit and miss as the other patrons will park however they want as there are no markings and that might mean youll miss out on a parking spot. The rooms are not bad, clean, but very small. My wife complained about a mould smell coming from the room, but the rooms are refurbished. We had a quad which meant there was a double bed and a bunk bed so I guess it felt smaller. No microwave, no toaster or any other heated kitchen appliance except a kettle. A fridge had some long life milk in it. The kettle was dirty and had not been cleaned. The air con was good. It was very noisy till late hours, and that kept us up. The room we were in, had an outdoor area but it had no fence and there was a large drop down. So be careful if you have kids. The meals i cannot comment on but from other reviews i read, I dont think its great. Given there is nothing close by though, the restaurant might be your best bet. Its still a long way from civilisation so Id suggest eating well before you get here.

We stopped in on our way home to Sydney. The view was just beautiful and the food was delicious! Really good value for money as well. Next time we are up this way again we will be stopping in again for sure.

Beautiful views, but food is quite simple for the price ($20 for a burger on a flat roll with chips) and staff are not very attentive to taking orders or wiping tables on a quiet Saturday lunch. I'd come back for the view and a drink, but the menu and staff needs some improvement.

Travelled through Hampton on a Tuesday a couple weeks ago and stopped by the Hampton Halfway Hotel Motel. My husband and I had a Parmi and a Scotch Fillet, the food was generous portions and tasted amazing. The 2 young gentleman running the pub that night were very welcoming and well mannered. Overall it was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Lovely view. Friendly staff. Basic pub food. Chef unwilling to make requested change to a burger. Shame, as it would have made all the difference to the eating experience and this review.

Middle of nowhere! But you will not be kept thirsty! Basic pub and cafe food. Good for a quick pit stop. 2 We got a tiny room with a double bunk bed and a queen bed. Room was clean and had basic amenities. It was a rainy night, we saw quite a lot of flying insects even inside the room. Had to use bug repellent.

Had a pub meal here today and was very disappointed, we have had great good size meals before but today was like having a kids meal at adult prices small snitzel about 10 chips and dry salad . Cant recommend it anymore !
