Nice place and beatiful food. Great Service with very welcoming vibes from the staff. I loved how they cooked the steak so tender, but maybe I would try the other sauce next time. Mushroom sauce is not for me. My wife had the Beer battered King Dory and love it. I also love the Chili Salt&Pepper Squid. Definitely i will comeback again.

We stopped in for lunch on our way up north. Was quiet and sleepy on a Thursday afternoon. The place is huge and can accomodate a huge crowd if needed. Tables indoors, outdoor(covered) and out on the lawn. We sat in the covered and protected outdoor area with our puppies. Drinks were cold and food was tasty. Small gripe was the chips were not the freshest but could have been a one off. Can recommend for families as there is plenty of outdoor area away from the car park. Offers some views over the river.

My husband and I decided to get married at the Hunter Valley Gardens so we looked around for places that could host the event and found harrigans. My mil had heard good things about it so we decided to stay there and have them host our wedding and have our reception there. I will start with the reception, my pregnant sister ordered fish and salad since EVERYTHING else on the menu she couldn't eat. As garlic, nut and gluten intolerant my choices were slim too. My sister cut into her fish and it was undercooked, I'm glad she cut it to make sure cause I likely wouldn't have. My steak, one of the few things I could eat, was rare when I ordered medium. Second steak was well done instead of medium. I gave up after that and just left it uneaten as all well done steaks should be. Our room was lovely, so is the loungeroom area. Expected a microwave, we called about it and was told she thought there was one. There wasn't. I was extremely excited to have a spa bath but I noticed quickly that the tiles around the bath were very slippery, I slipped getting out and again while rinsing the tub cause I needed to lean so far forward to turn the taps on and the now wet floor was slippery as. The jetts in the spa admitted dust and hair into the water when i ran them and its very loud but doesnt seem to work. The shower uses the same tiles so is an extreme slip hazard. Bathroom needs an update, the room only has 2 mirrors and they are both in the bathroom. Room has no exhaust fan to suck out the steam so both mirrors fog up and you are then left with wiping them with one of your 4 precious and too small towels or waiting for them to clear. The toilet is really uncomfortable to sit on. I'm a bit curvy but even my thin hubby found the lid cut into his back while he sat on it. Overall it was nice but its a shame i don't feel it's safe to have a bath again cause I really looked forward to that spa bath

Out for a 63rd birthday lunch. We had such a great time - lunch and drinks. Colleen is great fun and nothing was a trouble. Definitely kept within the RSA rules for the designated driver - rest of us were mildly happy food was amazing.

Stopped in for a Sunday afternoon drink. Ice clod from the tap. We had the dog so found a shady spot on the waterside. They had a solo entertainer in the main bar. Peaceful

3 Star Review by Amanda Camporeale

We were there Christmas Eve with family had a great night, food was ok, felt sorry for the barmaid who was making my drink when a male with long haired pony tail came along and embarrassed the woman by taking over and showing her how to make a drink to his standard, then he said to me " this one's on the house enjoy " we will be back but if he is a supervisor he needs to leave them alone and let her do her job as she was very embarrassed. I felt she was very GOOD.
