Beach Hotel reviews

2 Star Review by Michael S

We were really looking forward to the lunch as we don't often get to the coast. Used to be quite good here but lunch yesterday was well below standard. Fish and chips: more batter than fish. Batter looked great but was a little chewy and oily. Fish had a strong taste, chips not crispy, and dry. Salt and Pepper Calamari: No taste at all. Somewhat greasy. Chips soggy. Ordinary salad. Positives: service efficient and friendly. Happy atmosphere. View great.

Went last night for Monday night special - ribs were good! Good wine list. Partner said the beer lines need cleaning/flushing and his beer wasnt good.

Great spot. Nice views tasty food wine was ok. Would return. It would be nicer on a warmer day without wind and if the outdoor balcony tables enjoyed the sun or heaters.

Lovely spot to catch up with a long lost school friend. Sadly at 3pm we're not able to get a coffee as Barista section was closed. Good views over the beach. Parking a few streets away as always busy.

A group of friends and I called into the ground floor bar on Saturday night for a nightcap after dinner. We ordered 6 drinks and waited in the vicinity of half an hour. When we made enquires with staff we were told theyre on the way, but unfortunately they didnt arrive. After about 30 minutes we decided to leave and head somewhere else. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired.

Stuffed up our order and the food was below average. Questioned staff on order and was not helpful or interested in helping sort the issue. Youd probably get a better meal at King St Maccas.
