Such a beautiful venue! We had my daughters christening lunch here- a group of around 20 people. They kindly allocated us the beautiful courtyard all to our selves. Everyone commented on how nice the courtyard was and also how delicious the food and drinks were. The service was great also! So glad we chose to have our event here :)

A very good place to stay in Newcastle. Very clean rooms, very clean shared bathrooms, a great kitchen with a small breakfast. Enough towels! We went to eat once. Even as a vegetarian there was a very tasty dish. I would always recommend it!

What a fantastic venue this is. We had our daughters engagement dinner there last night with 20 people. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing and the whole experience was fantastic. I really enjoyed it here; for my 50th birthday (yikes) I searched for a good steak restaurant in Newcastle and the Burwood Inn was highly recommended. I hadnt previously been aware of it. I came here with my family and the ambience was very pleasant, the service was great, and the steak I had was terrific. Really flavoursome. My family also enjoyed their burgers and other items too. I will definitely come back; it was a great experience all around.

The steak was so good! I got a medium rare eye fillet and it was amazing! I will say though, it was a bit more medium, but still delicious! The ambience was really nice as well, and the staff were super happy to accommodate us on a Saturday night without a booking, so that was great!

Room was very spacious and clean, beds very comfortable. Bathroom very clean and access to the light breakfast was a great idea. Great location. Was disappointed with the meal. The triple cooked chips were hard, the steak was ok, I asked for medium and got rare. I was so looking forward to the steak and was a bit let down. The stairs to the accommodation lets a lot of noise float through.

This place seriously has the best steaks I have ever eaten. I had a rib eye and my partner had eye fillet. The best steaks are here. I have eaten steaks at some of the finest steakhouses in Canberra and other parts of Australia but the steak here wins hands down there is no comparison. If you are in the area and want a good steak this is the only place to go.
