Dulcie's Cottage reviews

5 Star Review by Rachel Walters

This place was a random find online for a bite to eat!! Bf and I were in town just for the night and the vibe of this place looked pretty cool on good old google. When we arrived we discovered it was A LOT more then a few tables and a pop up van whipping up burgers & fries in a courtyard.. The history of this beautiful place is just as delightful as the burgers. A 1920s house with memories and stories from wall to wall, fire place and a bathroom to die for. Not a huge range of options food wise, but sometimes thats for the best and you dont waste precious moments loosing yourself in a 10 page menu. The burgers were phenomenal, like AMAZING! Juicy, large portions, great fillings, great sauces, well balanced and just all round mouth watering. The fries were also delish and fresh, hot & crunchy and the perfect amount of salt. They serve cocktails and a huge range of wines & beer!! The atmosphere is one to be a part of. Its great with just your partner in crime or a perfect place for the whole gang to sit back, sink a drink or two and enjoy!! Ill be sure to pop in again on our next visit

The Dulcie burger was great and so were the crispy string fries. Good selection of beers, and wine. And music, and atmosphere is trendy.

5 Star Review by Dion Pretorius

Warm, inviting and friendly; Dulcie's has a great vibe, interesting drink selection and some brilliant burgers. The staff were lovely, and there were great areas to sit inside and outside. It was a great lunch stop and chance for a bit of a breather. Prices were really reasonable and we'll be back again soon!

One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Burger was well cooked (not overcooked) and the fries were moorish. Dulcie (+ beef patty) + fries with special sauce. Tea in the garden (cocktail) to wash it down.

OK Burger but we waited over an hour and forty minutes for 4 burgers. Didn't get even an apology or a waiter providing an apology. The place is massive, only makes Burger and had 3 people making it. If they can't deliver food in reasonable time, don't take orders. Very disappointing. Ended up getting Burger at 10 pm and couldn't enjoy it Addition : Received phone call day later with an apology & cost of dinner refunded. It's nice that the place decided to take this seriously.

Waiting 110 mins for a couple of burgers is probably a bit long to wait, I feel.

Lovely meal and atmosphere. So busy though, was told an hour wait for food but ended up being nearly 2 hours. Worth it though it was delicious
