Fantastic feed at the royal. Stopped here on our way to Coonabarabran. Had best schnitzel: Crispy crumb and tender, came with real mushrooms in the sauce and everything. Great staff and friendly atmosphere - dont look any further stop here today!

Dropped in for a beer and a feed. Meal was OK but nothing to brag about and even less as it took 1 hour and 40minutes to arrive at the table. Only three staff were on duty and must be commended for their effort. Management needs to look into staffing.

Very disappointed after reading so many good reviews. Made to feel very unwelcome. Given the look of death when we asked for the table to be wiped over. I visit Merriwa regularly. Will stick to the lovely cafes and bakery in future.
