Royal Hotel MURRURUNDI reviews

4 Star Review by Alex Broad

While travelling around I stop in at a lot of pubs for a meal, however the Royal Hotel let me down just a little on meal. The staff where great, super friendly, and had a good old chat with a few locals about the current news topics and how the government was doing a rubbish job for the local community. :-) The pub was clean and loads of space in the beer garden out the back, which was really nice. Had I not got a meal, It would have been 5 stars. Would I go here again? Yeah to see if it was a once off for the food.

We recently moved to Murrurundi and were looking for vegan/vegetarian options when eating out. We were very satisfied and impressed with their restaurant. We asked for vegeterian options on arrival and had the veggie burger and corn zucchini fritters which come with hot chips and salad. We highly enjoyed it and recommend it! Well done The Royal Hotel Restaurant! The restaurant is on the back of the pub with a spacious outdoor sitting area and even has Cobb & Co Stables with a restored carriage on display. Well worth the visit!

We had a great stay here. We were 2 cyclist with a tent and the owners let us pitch up on some grass for the night. The bathrooms were amazing and the pub itself spectacular. Great priced beer and very accommodating staff.

We had our wedding here and it is such a beautiful pub, with super friendly and helpful staff. John, Kath and the bar staff were nothing but helpful. Highly recommended this slice of heaven when dropping by for an amazing feed or planning your next function

Was so looking forward to a visit at the Royal and unfortunately I was left disappointed. I understand pubs need to make a profit but to pay $35 for a $5 bottle of wine is a bit steep and the Special 300g rump looked like two pieces of overcooked minute steak. So disappointing. The pub itself is terrific but it does need to focus on customer satisfaction rather than maximising profit. Fix the first, and the second will follow. Sorry.

5 Star Review by Vaughan Hobden

Really great pub, good food at a good price. Definitely recommend to stop in even just for a cold drink.

Very dog and pet friendly. Lovely people at the bar and behind it too. Free jukebox!!

Hands down the BEST pub I've ever been to, and believe me, I've been to a lot! Best pub food ever. Friendliest service ever. Dog friendly. Kid friendly, with an adorable old horse and carriage cubby in the beer garden. The lady who served us was beautiful and stopped to chat to our Autistic son. We will stop in here on our way to Tamworth forever!

A great little pub that has a great outdoor grassed area with kids cubbies. The meals were good value and the steak was awesome. Will stop her again.
