Grand National Hotel reviews
5 Star Review by Ben Adamson
Best pub food in the area in my opinion. We have enjoyed several different meals here recently and all have been great. The staff are friendly and it has a nice ambience. Having discovered it we have become regular visitors. We would vote for chunky chips instead of fries and reckon they could do a great Sunday roast.
4 Star Review by Gillian Cox
We came here on a Thursday night, and were surprised to find they had 2 for 1 steaks which was great! The steaks are normally quite expensive, so it was a good option. Don't come here for a cheap pub meal as the food is quite gourmet. But the atmosphere is still casual and friendly with a good crowd. Parking can be an issue as it's street parking only, so leave a bit of extra time if you're driving.

What a great craft beer house - we literally stumbled across this place before a football match and were won over by their range of beer, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere. They run a happy hour in the evening (not sure of exact days, times and products), which makes it that much easier to come here before the next game.
4 Star Review by Malcolm McPherson
There were fourteen of us for lunch so we had booked the small function room. (It would not take more than 16.) The food was very good. Everyone was happy with their selection. The only limitation is that there was only one vegetarian option on the menu. Service was good. Food and drinks also reasonably priced so that it represents good value for money. I liked the character and ambiance of an old neighbourhood hotel.
