$138 and an hour and a half wait after being told 30-40 minute wait to be expected Asked the lady behind the bar if she could chase up where it is, basically told me to shut up and let her tell us her story. Food arrived one hour and twenty minutes later Lamb shank was nice but wouldve been real good if it was actually hot, the veggies must have been boiled in the freezer My partners fish was quite tasty but also cold Wont be back, pity as its a nice location but a little communication when busy as to wait times and hot food, it would be a nice place to go Even more disappointing as you read reviews that they, The Tavern, dont even acknowledge those that are dissatisfied or displeased although tanking the few happy

Overcharged for a large group booking, along with meal problems even though I pre-ordered with several confirmations to help them out (they still got it wrong). Have addressed this via email plus given both positive and negative feedback within the email and have not had a response back. Would have given a higher rating if Il Lago took the time to get back to me.

Ordered 5 meals 4 came out together, I had to wait and after asking 3 times where mine was it finally came out after everyone had finished their meals No apology from chef apart from young waitress told me the oven was being used for pizzas and my pie was going in next I will say bar staff and waitresses were excellent just think the chef needs to wake up

A very disappointing experience! We asked for a table for 12with a view and we were put in the corner backing on to the kitchen with a view of a tv playing UFC fighting, not great entertainment fort a family lunch. The food was overpriced and underwhelming. Will never dine there again with the current management. Looking forward to the Novotel opening
