Moved back to the area and was extremely disappointed to see how down hill this pub has gone. Restaurant have some lovely staff and food has improved since returning after covid. As for the pub itself I would not recommend. Management are on a power trip and do not know how to hold an adult conversation about a matter and do not know how to converse with customers. They would rather pull faces at you behind the bar then to come out and greet any customers. Very disappointing to have management not return calls merely because they refuse to resolve any issues. Now before you respond to tell me to contact you if I have any issues, we have tried multiple times but your ego has got in the way of obtaining real customer service.

Wasn't a bad place to stay, the beds were pretty good. My complaints are the price and that they didnt have a microwave or toaster in a family room. Just a way to get you to spend more money at there eatery downstairs, the room was pricey enough.

While waiting to have dinner with my family this afternoon I witnessed a member of staff behave appallingly. The staff member named Shelly thought it was appropriate to put another customer on show carrying on. It was disappointing to see customers being treated in such a manner and I do not intend on returning. Edited as I can not respond - Thankyou for your response however I am not part of any friend circle that you are suggesting. I will assume management at this establishment is struggling as they are now projecting their issues onto other customers which is very disappointing to see. It is not a pleasant experience to go out for a meal and watch customers be abused regardless of the situation. I can see why your staff have issues if that is the way they handle problems. As I result I would say the reviews you are receiving are quite justified.

Rooms and bathrooms were ok! Other than receptionist, staff was not friendly as much as I got the feeling that maybe it's just me, I am not white that's why! Overall experience wouldn't go there ever again and would not recommend to any of my family and friends!

Only good thing about this place is they have karaoke on Sunday night. Staff are nice but close early. Foods good but was better back in the day.

Absolutely fantastic experience, was not expecting to be blow away, but wow! My son and wife both had chicken schnitzel, both tender and crumbed beautifully. Lots of carrots for the veg, with some broccoli and a small disc of corn. My wife had the smaller serving and couldn't finish it. My daughter had the penne bolognese, it was so tasty that I would have been happy with it. My steak was cooked medium rare (I asked for rare). It was flavorsome, but a little gristly. Onion rings were lightly fried and had real onion in them. A little oil heavy, but they are deep fried. Overall really impressed with the meals!
