Goro's reviews

4 Star Review by Hermione Le

The bar is really busy, but fun. They have nice food, karaoke, arcade games and nice drinks. We got appletini and pirate beer (sour beer) which was nice. We ordered salmon, squid and pork belly skewers, they were all tasty. However, price was quite expensive. We had 3 dishes but not really full yet. Quite loud music so needed to talk loudly.

Fun space, good vibes, decent music. Good amount of outdoor seating, there are booths indoors if you're ordering food and the karaoke rooms are great if you can book them. There's also a cool little area with an arcade.

Great place to hangout, much different to your other pubs. We went in after a friend's birthday and had bags of gifts and the manager Patrick was an absolute delight. He looked after our stuffs even when it was so busy. Furthermore, all the staffs were really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Vibe is great here especially on the weekends with the live DJs. Floor next to the bar is sticky af tho. Lady security guard is a vibe

Located in the cool neighborhood Surry Hill in Sydney, Goros is a Japanese bar with arcades and izakaya vibe. When we come in, we sat in one of the booths and ordered via their self serve app. The orders came within 10 minutes and we got our cocktails including espresso and apple martini. The espresso martini was alright but the apple martini was bright fluorescent green, which was unappealing. Unfortunately when we walked in, the floor was sticky from spilled drinks so that was off putting. On top of it, we didnt really interact with the staff so we finished our cocktail and decided to leave. The place looked like it could be a fun place for a night out but for happy hour, we preferred a different vibe.

GOROS pops off post 10:30 pm. Good crowd, tunes, food and drink is tasty, and there is ample space to sit, plus the karaoke room is FREE. Just make sure you book at least 1 - 2 weeks in advance. Shout out to the Sat crew. They were top tier.

Good: Music FAB, love Baessia (DJ Busy) sad I had to leave early. Interior cool and nice theme. Boba delicious but needs less ice. Me&U ordering, so handy and into it Bad: The karaoke uses CrowdDJ if you go Anytime Fitness youll know how limited it is. Food portions too small for the price, $6 for a small amount of kimchi which is usually free at KBBQ. I am now horrendously sick too (maybe the dumplings or calamari), which is why I had to leave

A Japanese izakaya within walking distance from Central station, Goros is a great location for casual drinks and quick bites. Food wise not bad, skewers and agadashi tofu are cooked well. Flavour wise, more full on, maybe to encourage a drink a too. A great vibe and decent table service. A few areas to sit around, and also some retro arcade games and karaoke rooms. Worth a visit!
