We decided to spend a little extra and enjoy our stay in Sydney by booking at the Fullerton. The hotel is beautiful, especially the reception. The staff were welcoming and attentive, always offering assistance and a friendly smile. We loved the pillow menu too, a really great touch. We did request fresh milk for our room for tea and coffee, as we dont enjoy long life milk, and there seemed to have been a little confusion among the staff, though it was remedied quickly and a staff member phoned to ensure we had received the milk which is great. The shower and water pressure are fabulous, one of the best weve experienced. And the large bath with a gorgeous city view. Our bed was comfortable and we certainly had everything we needed. The location is fabulous for accessing all of the city and We would stay again.

The hotel deserves a 3 star not 5. The entrance and hall ways are lovely but the rooms are cold, musty and not at all what they appear in photos. I was to be staying in an adjoining room as I had a 10 and 14 year old with me. When I arrived the staff put me in two separate rooms. This is not legal with a 14 year old. We were so shocked at the quality of the room we did not stay. The manager was very nice but due to the hotel being full he could only offer us a upgrade but it would mean that my child would be on a roller bed. I had specifically treated my family to a special night out which is why I did not ever get a room with a roller bed. I wanted my 14 year old to have his room and a proper bed. I left and told the staff it was not as the photos portray at all. When we arrived, there was no heating on and the lights were off. It was like no one had lived there in 10 years. I was really disappointed that the manager did not give me some what of a refund as they were fully booked and the rooms would have been taken once I had left. I don't think this hotel deserves a 5 star rating at all (as I have noticed other people have said). I think it is better to say 3 and then you know what to expect. I wasted $1500 that day. I have also just written a unimpressed review with the afternoon tea that afternoon. When we arrived, a film crew was sitting on our reserved table eating takeaways. They were asked to move and we were then seated with the serviettes and plates that were on the table as they had been eating over. This is not 5 star service. And a sorry didn't cut it. None of the criticisms were to do with a lack of staff because of Covid or difficulty in hiring staff. But the staff with the afternoon tea did not keep an eagle eye over the tables they were supposed to be supervising.

Located perfectly to explore Sydney at its finest.A beautiful building blends old with new. Our room was quiet and spacious the beds very comfy and the best bed linen Top notch cotton. Im very fussy here and this was above normal standards. The restaurant for breakfast was average could be better organised for this beautiful hotel, it was busy buffet style but would be nice to have coffee and tea served at your table at least. If you love Malaysian food you have come to the right place. The dining experience when not buffet is excellent. I will write a post separately for The Place the restaurant within the Fullerton. Our 3 night stay was wonderful and we would definitely stay again. Staff were all lovely but would probably eat out for breakfast.

Booked the Tower Premium King room for one nights stay for me and my husband after a day out in the city. The building and entrance of the hotel was stunning. Staff were also very courteous and welcoming. We were able to check in earlier than the standard 3pm check-in. We had a beautiful view and the room seemed nice and clean. Room service was also excellent. However, it was a very humid night and the aircon seemed to only stay at 20.5 degrees and couldnt be turned down any further all night. Both my husband and I felt really suffocated in the room. The TV also does not work at all and it was a bit disappointing we couldnt watch anything as we wanted a night in. I called front desk about these issues however because of the time of the night there were no engineers available. Front desk staff said she would call me right back after checking what other options we had. However we never received a call. I would have been happy with a fan or something but it was just disappointing staff never returned my call. Overall the two issues really affected how comfortable our stay was. And for a 5-star hotel we really expected these sort of issues to not occur or at least be addressed when informed.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms look so much elegant in real life than how they look in photos. Staff were very professional and sensible (recommended a better room fitted for the purpose). Lovely building, really pleasant breakfast, the entire building (hotel area) smelled nice for some reason.. great location for any city activities :) went there to celebrate mama's bday and she loved it! We did a foot spa together at night whilst seeing the clock tower.

The parking is a scam!!! Hotel staff charge $68 per day but the car park itself charges $25 flat rate. Do not pay for parking from the hotel!

I have to admit I was expecting to write a scathing review. The Fullerton did in fact deliver beautiful room surrounds, a bath worthy of the name (Big Bang fans rejoice) - I admit I had three baths in 6 hours to full capitalise on its grandeur - and a generous breakfast offering. My major criticism - being made to wait for a room. I expect when I book a hotel, to be able to access my room from the time of check in. Hotels are expensive enough for such a short amount of time, that every min should be available. We accessed the room at 4pm. Waiting one hour with 2 autistic children is a significant wait. My suggestion to the hotel, provide complimentary drinks and nibbles at the the nearby hotel bar to elevate the frustration of being delayed. Whilst I sat - overly frustrated - waiting for the room, I read many a poor review. Whats more concerning was the response from management to each and every review. It was almost gaslighting. Oh the staff will be so upset and disappointed when I deliver the review you provided. Actually take accountability, work to be better - you have all the potential to be great. I have been extremely privileged to stay in some amazing hotels. The Ritz and Mandarin Oriental in Singapore, The Prince in Honolulu, Les Thompson in NYC. Service was always paramount. Knowing each and every customer should be treated to a unique and memorable experience was at the forefront of their minds and mantra. They would never have allowed a customer to sit and be frustrated for near on an hour. What the Fullerton does well - the building is absolutely stunning, sitting under the glass roof whilst having breakfast - magical! Valuae for money. To book a night including breakfast for 2 adults and 2 so called adults (12,14), for approx $360AU in luxury diggings, proved to be far better value than lesser offers in the same city. The staff were very pleasant - the breakfast staff going as far to remind me when my husband and I came to eat (around 7am), that our childrens breakfast were also included in our room allowance. When I mentioned they were still asleep in the room, they nicely said Thats ok. Come back and see us. Bring them down when they wake up. This experience made me feel heartened. The breakfast selection was good and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the breakfast cafe. The room - a deluxe Twin - was spacious and well appointed. And have I mentioned the bath The only negative, the beds were a tad firm. Would I recommend the Fullerton ? Absolutely. The hotel is stunning, the location perfection. Had we not been delayed at check in and someone had addressed our obvious frustration, I would have been a very vocal advocate of the hotel. Its almost brilliant and just needs a little alteration/care to fully get there.
