Farmers Arms Hotel reviews

5 Star Review by Wendy O'Brien

We had a meal at the Farmers Arms last year, when we were passing through Tocumwal. The bangers and mash appealed to me - comfort food! Well my meal was way, way beyond comfort food. It was the best bangers and mash Id ever had. So good, in fact, that the next day we stopped in Finley to buy the very same sausages that the Farmers Arms sourced. Tonight, again stopping overnight in Tocumwal, I was keen to have the bangers and mash again. Alas, the dish was not on the menu. So after a good look at the menu, I ordered the lamb shoulder. If I was served this meal at any fine dining restaurant, I would be very, very happy. The dish is absolutely perfect. If you are anywhere near Tocumwal, you MUST go to the Farmers Arms, especially if you love wonderful food. Theres a busy pub vibe going on and the staff are lovely. Get there!

Service 10 out of 10. Food 2 out of 10. Limited range. Found it hard to find the value in salmon salad at $25. A few grams of salmon and very basic salad in a small bowl?

They have a courtesy bus, collects you and returns you to caravan park, and other local addresses. Need go call first and make a booking. Reasonable menu with reasonable prices. Special lunch menu now back.

3 Star Review by Tom Delahunty

Pub meals done in classic pub style, little option for healthier dinner. Beers were all boring larger, no black beer or pale ale

New years day we decided to venture out a bit further. Wife found two pubs: called both but only one answered: Farmers Arms (FA). Jay said we could take our small dog into the beer garden, so we opted for FA. So glad we did. Menu was expansive enough, drinks were cold and conversation with wife was good. The pan fried barramundi and salad was excellent. Wife and I shared, then ordered bruschetta. Bloody nice. Overall, very recommended!
