4 Star Review by Rhys Travels

Friendly service. Good local dinner option with a good range to choose from. The fish of the day $28 was Barramundi fillet which was cooked well and delicious. The rump steak $32 with chips and salad unfortunately came out medium rare when we asked for medium. Other than that all was good. The vanilla slice with ice cream and fresh cream was nice but seemed a little dear at $12.

My steak was good. But beyond that this place had little redeeming qualities. They have no booking system which makes finding a table an unpleasant free for all, especially if you're a bigger group. My friend got food poisoning from the chicken parmigiana.

Been coming here for 30 years this place used to have good food. Gone to the dogs. Absolute garbage. Don't bother. Never again. Spend your money somewhere else that appreciates the business. Barman that served me was not pleasant in any way needs some manners.

Came here on recommendation from a friend. Large variety of food choices and food was pet decent overall. We ordered the salt & pepper squid with chips, the chicken schnitzels and the pork belly. The salt and pepper squid was actually not bad. The chips were great and nicely seasoned. The squid itself was on the softer side. I normally would prefer it to be a bit more chewy as a personal preference. But it was still really good. The batter kept falling off though. Would have been better if the batter was a bit more crispy and crunchy. The aoili was nice, i think it was handmade as it tasted better than the ones you find instore. My partner had the chicken schnitzel and said it was a good serving, however the schnitzel was on the thinner side. Would have been nicer to have the chicken thicker and smaller in size. It came with pepper gravy sauce; it was a bit watered down compared to normal gravy, however instead of using normal salt and pepper, they used chilli peppers and the peppers overtook the taste of gravy unfortunately. Our friend had the pork belly and said it was absolutely delicious and crispy. It was a very good size serving too. We came just after 5:30pm (when they open) and it was a good thing we did, as the moment it 6pm came around the lines were out the door. We still had to line up for about 15 minutes for our food. Anyone that arrived after 6pm were waiting 30mins-1hr to order. It does have a mini bar so you can order drinks while you wait and if you have children they now have a playground inside the food area. Would recommend coming for a good feed, however make sure to come early! Or else you'll be waiting. Also a funny side note, you cannot enter with snow boots, however you can enter with thongs.

Was hoping the hot/cold buffet had returned from pre-covid, but no. New cooks/management I don't know but this will be my last time dining in this place. My burger bun was fridge cold, the squid was squishy, the pouched egg in the caeser salad was ice cold. The schitzles and steaks I saw from other diners looked miserable. What an utter dissapoinment, this place used to be good. For those content with a beer and letting their kids go nuts in the play area and constant raffle announcements over the speaker, this is the place for you.

Fish of the day with vegetables, frozen carrot and zucchini. Looks like salmon is from Aldi and for $28

It's a typical bowling club: okay food, poor selection in drinks and no atmosphere.
