Kittyhawk reviews

5 Star Review by Renae Danam

My friends and I were visiting from Brisbane and were looking for somewhere to go for last minute dinner plans. It was a lovely restaurant with great decor and we were seated during happy hour. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, the slow cooked lamb was definitely a favourite.

What a great space - tucked in not far from Chifley. The space is amazing & cosy. The food was amazing. The cocktails were exceptional. And Sarah was the best host, friendly, efficient & with great recommendations.

Atmosphere and food were amazing. Shout out to James who looked after our table for the night, you were brilliant. Definitely coming back!

We are in love with the place! Delicious food and cocktails, good vibe and service. Not much to fault for our first time here. The cocktails are smooth and balanced. We had the old fashioned and the moneta garden. Happy hour was also cheap, beer is cold :) For food, My favourite was the burrata - fresh and a good palette cleanser, and the steak tartare- tangy, spicy and rich. The chips that came with the tartare were a bit burnt and papery, but the frites were perfect.

5 Star Review by John Duffield

I am not a fan of whiskey but the cocktails whipped up with them have changed my stance! Everything we ordered could of been priced a few bucks more as it was quality. The tartare was the stand out dish. The oysters were the best value as it was happy hour!

Drinks were satisfactory... Food not worth it ... Service was terrible... You had to get the menus by yourself

4 Star Review by Victoria Rose

My partner raves about this place, so we went for dinner. I thought it was nice, but the menu was not particularly interesting or inspiring. The menu online was different to the one we were presented, and a couple of items I was looking forward to weren't available. Everything was nicely cooked, but nothing was spectacular or rave worthy. For the price, I expected more.

I've always wanted to come here. The look is amazing. Bar is set up great. Design and decor cool as Food was really super average. Chips were pale and way over salted. Prawns were mushy and earthy. No sweetness or plumpness. Duck pat was fridgey and just meh.... Olives... meh. Tried a few wines, most were good though the prices really deserve more prompt service (bartender spent a fair while looking for the ones we ordered) and perhaps a hand carrying the bottle, Ice bucket and 4 glasses back to the table after coming to get me back to pay after he finally found the bottle... I mean, at $105 a bottle, it'd make it feel more worth it. Bottom line: expensive, good-looking bar with distinct lack of love in service and cuisine. Table service would really be the way to go here.

Beautiful interior design and nice decor. Staffs are nice especially bar staff really knowledgeable on what they are doing. The price is okay, wasnt cheap but not overly expensive. Will definitely be back.
